If you're updating your country of residence to one within the European Economic Area (EEA), here's a guide to help you understand the changes and what to expect during the process.

What are the key changes and updates?

  1. Temporary logout

    • Your account will be logged out for approximately 5 minutes during the update process.

    • If the logout lasts longer than 5 minutes, wait for the notification email before logging back in. If the issue is not resolved, please reach out to our customer support.

  2. SEPA deposit account

    • Update your SEPA transfer details in your online banking system if you have standing instructions with your bank.

    • If you have SEPA deposit accounts, a new SEPA deposit account will be automatically assigned to you.

    • Any existing EUR balances will be seamlessly transferred to your new SEPA account.

    • Deposits made to the old SEPA account after the update will be automatically rejected and refunded.

  3. Earn products

    • Any active Earn products will be automatically redeemed before the system update.

    • You can restake your assets immediately after the update.

  4. API domain update

    • Your API domain will change after the system update.

    • The REST API domain will be updated to eea.okx.com, and the WebSocket domain will be updated to wseea.okx.com.

    • Your API key will remain unchanged.

  5. Data updates

    • Some data, such as asset analysis, PNL, fee levels, and transaction records, may take 24 to 48 hours to fully update after the change.

  6. Account statements and history

    • Generating or downloading account statements, trading history, and funding history will become available 48 hours after the update.

  7. Updated login URL

    • Your login URL will change to my.okx.com.

    • We recommend bookmarking the new URL for convenient access.
