Recently, I swiped the Thunderbolt academic paper published by @nubit_org, and seriously said that this may be the most noteworthy "native upgrade" of Bitcoin in a decade. #BTC 🤔 It is not a Layer 2, does not use external chains, and does not change the protocol. What is it? Put simply, it is a Schnorr-signed, mathematically verifiable mechanism for transferring control. It sounds academic, but the core is this: it allows Bitcoin's signature system to not only "confirm", but also "submit + inherit + terminate". 🔍 In the past, the BTC network was a single-threaded transfer thinking, but now Thunderbolt allows it to have structured transfer + asynchronous authorization + multi-round verifiable execution + finality, and it can be supported by a native UTXO, and even state synchronization is not required. To put it more bluntly: it's not about making payments, it's not about making BTC transfers faster. It is an expansion of the signature semantics, which makes the "transfer of asset control" a closed-loop, evolvable, and mathematically closed link within the rules of native Bitcoin. This is the first time since Taproot that Bitcoin has the ability to "evolve itself" in the true sense. A lot of people don't realize what this change means. Many of the "Bitcoin application layers" we talked about in the past were limited to asset transfers, payment channels, or external link bridging. However, the underlying logic of Thunderbolt is that every change of control is an ownership update in the sense of signatures; Every final landing is the end point that is fully recognized by the chain. Don't just look at the technology, they even did AR enhanced reading of the white paper, and the degree of care is really not low. I'm not sure if it can set off the next wave of BTC native ecology, but one thing I'm sure of is that this is not a "speculation" project, it is really opening a new door to the underlying system of Bitcoin.
